THE cast of Showtime 2010 has been announced by excutive producer Bob Eveleigh.

Like the 2009 Passport to Teleland, Showtime 2010: PE Can Do It will again mix reality with fantasy as a book musical, featuring some major routines and comedy items from the past 19 years while telling a brand-new tale about a DStv variety production team visiting the Friendly City.

Heading the cast as the inventor, Professor Oliver Potts will be Bennie Gerber, along with Samantha Engler as Melissa Trayner, the woman he engages to train his staff and market his service.

Making up the TV specials production team will be Anton Crouse (as the executive producer), Andrea Morris (as the choreographer), Katy Hillhouse (as the production secretary/ gofer) and Damien Anderson, again in his 2009 role as Pete Seltzer, but now risen from presenter to director.

Also coming back as a link to the Teleland action will be Ryan Johnson and Jocelyn Scholtz.

A further principal role will be taken by Jason Humm, as the professor‘s big-headed senior pilot, Buzz Rogers, with Stephen Armstrong as his quieter co-pilot. The inventor‘s three daughters twill be played by Tammi Turner, Ashleigh Butcher and Zaanri Sharp.

Supporting these leads as the “Pop-Up Quartet”, will be Mariloe Booysen, Ranique Hendricks, Kehly Windvogel and Renaldo Abdul. The female ensemble is Amari Annandale, Amore Kommer, Mandisa Kota, Olwethu Mdala, Sulungwa Nkewuse and Shannon Theron while their male counterparts will be Geoff Allen, Llewellyn Barnard, Shadley De Lange, Rynhardt Gouws, Kwanele Nomoyi, Cameron Robertson, Masinga Rune and Jean-Marc Suntah.
