We don’t want GM foods I WAS very disturbed to hear on a foreign radio station that “South Africa is second to China in the dash for genetically modified crops and food”. The last programme I listened to last year on this subject said the government had allotted ground to try out GM cotton, soya and, I think, maize or wheat, and have heard nothing since.... Parcels left UK, now missing IN October and November 2004 my wife and I sent two Christmas presents to our two grandchildren in Port Elizabeth. After waiting anxiously for the unregistered parcels to arrive, we have been advised by the Royal Mail here in England that we can consider them lost whilst in transit, although there is proof they left the UK.... Celebrations take place during the year, culminating in Founders’ Week from August 8 to 13.... DA a party for all SA’s people IN response to Patrick Cull’s article “A softer approach from the DA in 2005” (The Herald, January 17), I believe it necessary to dispel certain insidious projections that he makes.... |
