SA artists collaborate for tsunami relief

TOP selling Afro-Pop band Malaika has joined forces with pop group Watershed, reggae acts Dr Victor and Dawnay and R&B act Denim to record a song for tsunami relief.

The song, called Side by Side with Angels, also includes Mozambicanborn singer Choppa and new acts Yolanda and Eleven.

Written by Michael Tellinger, the song was released on Thursday on a CD single and all profits of this project will be donated to the Tsunami Disaster Fund.

Other tsunami relief songs recorded recently include a rock ballad by Cutting Jade featuring several guest artists and a hardcore alternative rock song by members of Wickhead, 16Stitch, the Narrow and Pestroy.
